Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the Digital strategy and strategic planning capabilities for ADPG Group Digital & Transformation, ensuring alignment with the overall organizational goals.
- Manage the overall ADPG Digital Strategy (and associated sub-Strategies e.g. AI), developing and maintaining a standard methodology for strategy formulation, cascading and reporting.
- Facilitate strategy alignment with the Group Shareholder expectations, including Group level Digital KPI’s
- Guide and provide expert advice on the development and alignment of digital strategies across different AD Ports Group clusters, ensuring they enable the business strategies of the respective clusters.
- Oversee the annual Digital strategic planning process, from conception to execution, ensuring it supports the Group’s broader strategy, and aligns the organization to the guiding objectives and priorities set at a Group level
- Lead strategic transformation engagements and collaborate with external consultants as necessary to guarantee the quality and timeliness of strategy-related projects and initiatives.
- Ensure that the strategies developed are actionable and measurable, with a clear impact on the Group’s long-term success.
- Lead, develop and manage Digital Strategy and Planning team, ensuring their alignment with the Group’s strategic objective and oversee their professional development.
- Foster a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement within the team and the wider organization.
- Lead cross-functional teams in strategic Digital initiatives, promoting collaboration and integration across different departments and clusters.
People Management Responsibilites:
- Lead and develop a team of digital strategists, analysts, and project managers
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to direct reports.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and digitally-minded team culture.
- Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and succession development within the digital team.
- Champion cross-functional knowledge sharing and digital upskilling initiatives across departments.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Align digital transformation efforts with overall business strategy and future vision.
- Develop business cases for investment in digital capabilities, platforms, and systems.
- Partner with executive leadership to embed digital thinking in long-term planning.
- Identify strategic partnerships with technology providers, startups, and academia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Innovation, or related field Master’s degree in Business, IT, or industry-related field is a plus
- English – Excellent Written and Spoken. Arabic optional
- A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a similar role
- Within a consulting or high-calibre multi-national organization
- Proven experience in technology strategy development
- 10+ years of Technology strategy development and strategic planning experience with an international consulting firm or a high-profile organisation
- Profound understanding and expertise in strategic planning and execution, capable of leading complex strategy development across the organization.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and develop a high-performing strategy team, with a focus on mentoring and professional growth.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities to synthesize complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategic plans.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate and drive strategic vision across various levels of the organization.
