Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Architect with a strong background in preparing and developing shop drawings to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and experienced in translating design concepts into precise, construction-ready documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop architectural shop drawings based on design intent, specifications, and project requirements
- Coordinate with design consultants, engineers, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance
- Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and convert them into detailed shop drawings
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or clashes in coordination with other disciplines (MEP, structural, etc.)
- Ensure all drawings comply with local authorities’ regulations, codes, and standards
- Update drawings based on site conditions, client comments, or design revisions
- Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and drafting team to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in shop drawing preparation, preferably in the UAE
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (an advantage), and other relevant design software
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality standards and approval processes is an advantage
- Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Good communication and coordination skills
