We are Seeking Shuttering and Carpenters Foreman who will be responsible for supervising all formwork and carpentry-related activities on construction sites. This includes overseeing the construction and installation of formwork for concrete structures, managing a team of carpenters and helpers, ensuring quality and safety standards, and coordinating work with other trades to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of shuttering carpenters, joiners, and laborers.
- Read and interpret structural and formwork drawings, specifications, and plans.
- Plan and assign daily tasks to workers according to work schedules.
- Ensure correct installation and alignment of formwork before concreting.
- Supervise the fabrication, erection, stripping, and maintenance of formwork systems (e.g., traditional timber, steel, or modular systems).
- Inspect formwork for safety, stability, and conformity to design before pouring concrete.
- Coordinate with site engineers, steel fixers, and concrete workers to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Monitor material usage and request additional resources as needed.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure all workers use appropriate PPE.
- Keep daily reports on workforce, productivity, and material usage.
- Train new workers on formwork systems and safe working practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in formwork carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction and formwork drawings.
- Experience with various formwork systems (e.g., Doka, Peri, traditional timber).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
- High school diploma or trade certificate in carpentry or construction preferred.
