The Specialist – Financial Reporting plays a critical role in the consolidation and analysis of financial data across the healthcare organization. This role ensures consistent financial reporting practices aligned with IFRS and UAE regulatory frameworks. The specialist collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and implement technical accounting policies, improve reporting processes, and ensure audit readiness.
Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
Interpret and apply new IFRS standards and advise stakeholders on their implications.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
Conduct technical accounting research and prepare accounting position papers.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
Coordinate and support external and internal audit processes.
Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies in financial reports.
Collaborate with other finance teams to ensure accurate intercompany eliminations.
Provide technical support in the implementation of financial systems and reporting tools.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and regulatory changes impacting the healthcare sector.
Assist in drafting financial disclosures for annual reports and investor communications.
Support the standardization and automation of reporting processes.
Contribute to training sessions for finance staff on accounting standards and policies.
Ensure proper documentation and control over financial reporting processes.
Review financial models, forecasts, and business cases for accuracy and strategic fit.
Implement financial systems upgrades and digital tools to improve reporting and transparency.
Coach and develop finance staff to enhance department capabilities and succession planning.
Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics is required.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA is preferred.
- Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or M. Com) is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong command of IFRS and local UAE financial regulations (including VAT).
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Expertise in financial modelling, analysis, and scenario planning.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with senior management.
- Ability to drive financial strategy and translate data into actionable insights.
