Job Summary:
The Steel Structure Erection Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the steel erection crew on-site. This role ensures that structural steelwork is erected safely, accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the erection of steel structures on-site.
Interpret construction drawings and ensure accurate installation.
Plan daily work activities and allocate tasks to erection crews.
Ensure proper rigging, lifting, bolting, and welding practices are followed.
Inspect tools, lifting gear, and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
Monitor team performance, attendance, and productivity.
Communicate effectively with engineers, crane operators, welders, and other stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain daily progress reports and submit updates to site management.
Identify and resolve site issues promptly to avoid delays.
Train and mentor junior crew members in proper erection techniques.
