We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Joinery Detailer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating detailed joinery drawings for high-end residential, commercial, or bespoke furniture projects. The ideal candidate should have strong CAD skills and a deep understanding of joinery construction methods and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements to produce detailed joinery shop drawings.
- Create 2D and/or 3D CAD models and technical drawings for custom furniture, cabinetry, doors, panelling, counters, and other bespoke joinery elements.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, designers, and workshop teams to clarify project scope and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure all drawings meet relevant standards and codes (e.g., building regulations, fire ratings, accessibility standards).
- Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and hardware schedules for procurement and manufacturing.
- Revise and update drawings as changes occur during design development or construction.
- Collaborate with CNC programmers and production staff to ensure constructability and efficiency in fabrication.
