Travel Consultant helps our clients to plan for their trips, answers questions on travel arrangements such as routes and time schedules, make, and confirms reservations, calculates the expenses and sells tickets to the passengers, also they may be required to make other arrangements such as car bookings for our clients. In addition, they are required to re-book tickets and other arrangements if the client decides to change their schedules.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks including preparing PowerPoint presentations and spreadsheets, drafting e-mails or letters, organizing meeting/business luncheons.
- Essential to have experience within the travel industry and an experienced travel professional.
- Processing refunds, cancellations and reissues
- Able to make accurate bookings for clients.
- Help passengers by answering questions on travel arrangements.
- Help to make and confirm reservations.
- Provide good customer service.
Qualifications
For you to be successful as a Travel Consultant with us, you would need to have the following experience:
- Tourism knowledge including Hotels and Flights
- GDS knowledge is a must have - Amadeus as a priority and Galileo as basic (for at least 2 years experience)
- Ability to create booking, ticketing, reissue
- MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint competency
- Multitasking - working with variant channels: mail, WhatsApp, and hospitality systems
- Monitoring systems for irregular ticket booking behavior
- Excellent organizational skills and strong team player qualities
- The ability to work variable shifts
- Act as a resource/support for agents with ticketing/fares questions
- Quality control all international tickets issued overnight for correct commissions, lowest/best fare.
- Must be familiar with all related lines of business and IATA regulations.
- Sound knowledge of reservations & ticketing systems with good communication skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
