Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Venue Lead & Swim Coach to oversee operations at our swim venue and deliver high-quality coaching to swimmers of all levels. This dual-role position requires strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills, along with a passion for aquatic sports and child development.
Key Responsibilities: As Venue Lead:
- Manage day-to-day operations at the assigned swimming venue.
- Supervise on-site staff, ensuring all team members follow safety and operational protocols.
- Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-prepared for each session.
- Act as the main point of contact for parents, swimmers, and staff at the venue.
- Monitor attendance, incidents, and equipment needs, reporting regularly to management.
- Implement and maintain health & safety and safeguarding procedures.
As Swim Coach:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate swim lessons in line with our curriculum.
- Instruct and motivate swimmers to develop technique, endurance, and confidence.
- Provide personalized feedback and progress reports to swimmers and parents.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Identify swimmers with potential and guide their progression through training pathways.
Qualifications:
- Certified Swim Instructor/Coach (e.g., ASA, STA, or equivalent).
- First Aid and Lifesaving/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum 2 years of coaching experience with children and youth.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
