A Welding Supervisor with a strong marine background is needed to oversee welding operations on marine vessels and structures. This role involves leading a team of welders, ensuring quality and safety, and managing resources to meet project requirements within a marine environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate welding activities on marine vessels and structures, ensuring compliance with welding procedures, codes, and standards.
- Enforce safety regulations and protocols specific to the marine environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of welding work to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of welding equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with engineers and other project personnel to address technical issues and ensure project success.
- Maintain accurate records of welding activities, quality control, and personnel training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Welding Supervisor in a marine or shipbuilding environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Experience with marine-specific welding standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
