Assistant Project Manager (site based)

Working with the Leader - Construction Management, the Middle East office is looking for an Assistant Project Manager (site based) to assist in the management of projects and project teams and quickly grasp project needs in order to meet client requirements. The role entails;

  • An ability to oversee time and cost budgets inclusive of initial set up with the direction of the senior project management team.
  • Demonstrative capability in project controls (scheduling, cost reporting, forecasting, variation management etc)
  • Demonstrative ability in monitoring and evaluating project performance in line with time and budgetary constraints.
  • Personable character capable of communicating project performance results with the project management team.
  • Capable of suggesting and managing changes in project processes to resolve identified shortcomings in operational methods.
  • Plan and coordinate the resources for each job including inputs from other offices, sub consultants and other suppliers, and manage all jobs to deliver them on time, within the budget.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management and / or project controls.
  • Experience in report generation and discussions / presentations of the same with management and team members.
  • An understanding of earned value management and the associated reporting indices and methods.
  • Planning experience and a proven ability in using Primavera P6 to create internal design programmes and to assist in review / analysis of construction programmes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project is helpful
  • Experience in coordination with the other multi-discipline project teams, clients, subcontractors and other suppliers;
  • Strong eye for detail coupled with a methodical and organized approach;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills will be well utilised and your ability to develop internal and external working relationships is essential.
  • Middle East experience helpful.
