Corporate Finance Overview
PwC Middle East Corporate Finance team provides independent financial advice and creative solutions to multinational and regional corporates, private businesses, institutional investors (including sovereign wealth funds and private equity houses) and governments seeking to buy or sell businesses or raise growth capital.
We offer our clients advice and support through all phases of the deal cycle from origination to completion. For sell-side work, this involves understanding the vendor’s strategy/objectives, defining an equity story, preparing marketing materials, leveraging PwC’s networks to identify and approach investors, managing the due diligence process and assisting with negotiations to drive transaction completion. For acquisition work, this would include the identification of appropriate targets, raising finance, seeking to resolve valuation inconsistencies between vendor and acquirer and making the deal happen
As a Manager, you will work as part of pristine team of M&A professionals with extensive deal origination and execution experience and track record, helping our clients source and complete transactions.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and Partners
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients, including building financial models, drafting marketing materials and conducting valuations
Support seniors in managing and delivering large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
Train, coach, and supervise junior team members
Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand
Who we are looking for:
As a result of the team’s current activity levels and future anticipated level of deal flow, we are now seeking to recruit two Managers to join our lead M&A team in the Middle East, with one role based in Riyadh and one based in Dubai.
This role would represent an exceptional opportunity to join one of the Middle East’s market leading corporate finance practices and assist in growing its regional footprint. It’s a chance to gain immediate exposure to lead advisory transaction activity within a strong team of experienced advisors at PwC.
The ideal individual will be able to demonstrate:
significant track record of between 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in other corporate finance, M&A boutiques or IB teams in ME region; and
strong academic track record, holding the CFA charter and/or MSc Finance from a prestigious university.
In addition, we would expect the individual to have strong communication, interpersonal and numerical skills. Candidates will be required to show a high degree of commercial awareness and a good working knowledge of the regional corporate landscape in the Middle East.
Further, we are interested in individuals that have a track record of deal closures in sectors that are witnessing a high degree of M&A activity and interest, including but not limited to healthcare, education, technology, financial services and consumer sectors.

About the role:
The individual would expect to be involved in the following types of work in the context of buy-side, sell-side or other types of M&A mandates:
Managing teams or people and acting as a coach and mentor to junior team members
Preparation of information memorandum, business plans, client presentations and pitch documents
Participation in client presentations and meetings
Detailed industry and company analysis
Financial modelling and analysis of transactions
Preparation and co-ordination of project deliverables
Project managing transactions and liaising with multiple parties
Regular networking at internal and external events
Business development activities including identification and targeting of potential opportunities, and developing a strong personal network of contacts
