Brief General Job Description

Under general supervision, ensures the safety of the patrons in the swimming areas by preventing and responding to emergencies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Duties include but are not limited to):

  • Monitors activities at the swimming pools to prevent accidents.
  • Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
  • Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning.
  • Administers First Aid.
  • Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards; enforces and adheres to pool rules and regulations.
  • Follows emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency.
  • Maintains order in the pool and adjoining areas.
  • Inspects facilities for cleanliness; completes general pool cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Maintain cleaning and refilling of the swimming pools.
  • Determines chlorine content and pH value of water, using water testing kit, and record readings.
  • Check pool chemicals in daily basis schedule as per HACCP standard.
  • Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment (rescue tubes, backboard, signs and other equipment).
  • Provides general information on pool operation to patrons.
  • Teaches swimming lessons.
  • Completes required paperwork. Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.
  • Care for injuries, sudden illnesses, and other medical emergencies: give first aid, CPR, oxygen, etc.
  • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
  • Maintain their physically fit bodies by maintain regularly training of themselves.
  • Maintain high grooming standard as per hotel grooming standard.
  • Comply with the hotel safety procedures as per the UAE law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Candidate should meet the following requirements:

-1 to 2 years work experience in UAE

-must have UAE lifeguard license and related training certificate

-willing to work in Fujairah

-must be in UAE and can start immediately

Job Type: Full-time

License:
