Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled API Support Engineer to provide support for our API-driven applications and services.
In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting backend systems and APIs to ensure smooth integration and functionality across applications.
You will work closely with internal teams, resolve technical issues, and ensure the quality and stability of API services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support for APIs and backend systems, ensuring they meet performance and functionality requirements.
- Troubleshoot API-related issues, identifying root causes and offering solutions.
- Assist in designing, testing, and maintaining API integration solutions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand API architecture, integration points, and dependencies.
- Monitor API performance and health, identifying potential problems and implementing fixes.
- Ensure API services are secure, reliable, and performing as expected.
- Write and execute test cases for API testing and validation.
- Respond to customer and internal technical queries related to API issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Document API-related issues, resolutions, and best practices for future reference.
- Provide timely and detailed reports on API performance and issue resolution to stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in API support or related roles.
- Strong experience with API testing and debugging using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, or similar.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for backend data validation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and web services architecture.
- Strong understanding of API security standards and protocols.
- Solid experience with debugging and troubleshooting API calls, integrations, and related issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, with at least 2 years focusing on API support.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
