We are looking for an Arabic Chef Cook at our Lokmit Gibran Restaurant DMCC.
Arabic Chef Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff (chefs, cooks, and helpers).
- Schedule shifts and assign duties to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
- Responsible for all food production, operation & maintenance of kitchen
- Ensure food is prepared on time and meets quality standards.
- Oversee food presentation, portion sizes, and overall consistency.
- Manage inventory and order supplies to avoid shortages or wastage.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and functioning properly
- Assists the Food Safety Team in maintaining and updating all HACCP & ISO documents
- Ensures that all the monitoring records are filled up and updated on a daily basis.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Train staff on hygiene and safety protocols.
- Monitor food costs and reduce waste.
- Assist in pricing menu items based on ingredient costs.
- Work with management to control kitchen expenses.
Requirements:
· Proficiency in Arabic cuisine and cooking techniques
· Experience in working in a high-volume kitchen environment
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
· Creativity in developing new dishes and menu items
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
