Zapegg Tax Consultant, a growing financial services firm in Dubai, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our finance team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Support day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, invoicing, and data entry.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor transactions for discrepancies.
- Help with VAT filings and compliance as per UAE regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial files.
- Assist in processing payroll and employee reimbursements.
- Provide administrative support to the senior accountant as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books).
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and data entry skills.
- Understanding of UAE VAT and basic tax procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
- High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
