We are looking for a Auto Denter for an automobile workshop is responsible for assessing and repairing damage to vehicle body panels and frames, ensuring vehicle appearance and structural integrity. They typically have extensive experience, technical skills, vocational training, and relevant certifications in auto body repair.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Vehicle Inspection: Inspecting vehicles to assess the extent of damage to body panels, frames, and structural components.
· Damage Assessment: Evaluating damage to determine the repair techniques and materials required to restore the vehicle
to its pre-accident condition.
· Panel Repair: Repairing or replacing damaged body panels, including straightening, welding, and shaping metal panels to eliminate dents and dings.
· Frame Straightening: Using specialized equipment and techniques to straighten and realign vehicle frames and structural components that have been damaged in collisions.
· Body Filling and Sanding: Applying body filler to smooth out imperfections and sanding surfaces to prepare them for painting.
· Paint Preparation: Preparing surfaces for paint application by cleaning, priming, and masking areas to be painted.
· Paint Application: Applying paint to repaired areas, matching colors and textures to ensure a seamless finish.
· Quality Control: Inspecting finished repairs to ensure they meet quality standards and match customer expectations.
· Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others in the workshop.
· Repairing damage for Chasis.
Work Experience Requirements:
· Auto Body Repair Experience: Extensive experience as an auto denter, specializing in repairing damaged body panels and frames.
· Panel Repair Skills: Proficiency in using body repair tools and equipment, such as dent pullers, welders, grinders, and sanders.
· Frame Straightening Experience: Experience in using frame straightening equipment and techniques to restore vehicle frames and structural components.
· Painting Experience: Knowledge of automotive painting techniques, including surface preparation, color matching, and paint application.
· Customer Service Experience: Experience in customer-facing roles, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, explain repair recommendations, and address their concerns.
Education: ·
· High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma is typically required for entry into the field of auto body repair. ·
· Vocational Training: Completion of vocational training programs or apprenticeships in auto body repair and collision repair is highly recommended. These programs provide hands-on training and theoretical knowledge of auto body repair techniques and procedures.
· Certifications: Obtaining certifications from recognized organizations, such as the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) or the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), in auto body repair can validate skills and knowledge.
· Continuing Education: Staying updated with advancements in auto body repair techniques and technologies through workshops, seminars, or additional training courses can enhance skills and career opportunities.
