Job Summary:
The Automotive Floor In charge cum QC is responsible for supervising day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining high-quality repair standards, and overseeing the final quality check (QC) of all vehicles before delivery to customers. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail to ensure customer vehicles are serviced efficiently and up to international standards.
Key Responsibilities;
1. Workshop Supervision
Oversee daily operations on the workshop floor, ensuring jobs are allocated and executed on time.
Assign work to technicians, mechanics, electricians, painters, and denters according to their skills.
Monitor work progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Ensure workshop cleanliness, safety, and discipline.
2. Quality Control (QC)
Inspect and verify all vehicles after repairs, painting, denting, and mechanical/electrical works.
Perform final road tests (where applicable) to confirm repair quality and performance.
Ensure repairs and services meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
Identify and rectify any rework issues before delivery.
3. Customer & Team Coordination
Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding job cards, customer complaints, and work requirements.
Provide technical guidance and training to workshop staff.
Assist in diagnosing complex technical issues when required.
Maintain clear communication between management, service advisors, and floor staff.
4. Reporting & Documentation
Ensure job cards are completed accurately with all repair details.
Maintain records of QC reports, rework cases, and technician performance.
Submit daily/weekly reports to the Workshop Manager/Owner.
Requirements;
Education: Diploma/Degree in Automobile Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or QC role.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, AC, painting, denting, and diagnostic works.
Other Skills:
Leadership and team management skills.
Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills (English required, Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).
