Functional Responsibilities:
Collaborate with SME product managers, credit analysts, operations, and compliance teams to understand lending products, workflows, and customer needs.
Define and document business requirements for SME lending products including working capital loans, equipment financing, invoice discounting, and overdrafts.
Map and optimize end-to-end processes for loan origination, credit scoring, KYC/onboarding, disbursement, repayment, and collections.
Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FRDs), user stories, and process flow diagrams.
Support implementation of digital SME lending platforms and loan origination systems (LOS).
Coordinate and conduct UAT, including test case preparation, execution, and sign-off.
Ensure all solutions align with regulatory requirements and bank policies, including AML, KYC, and Basel norms.
Requirements
7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in SME lending, preferably in a banking or fintech environment.
In-depth knowledge of SME credit products, lending risk metrics, and underwriting workflows.
Experience with loan origination systems, digital onboarding platforms, and/or credit scoring tools.
Understanding of regulatory frameworks (CBUAE/SAMA/IFRS9), risk assessment models, and credit policies for SMEs.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, UML, and BPMN.
Basic knowledge of SQL, API documentation, and data integration concepts.
