Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a variety of pastries, cakes, bread, and desserts.
- Develop new pastry recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and place orders as needed.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.
- Train and guide junior bakers or assistants in pastry techniques.
- Collaborate with the café team to meet customer demands and special orders.
- Maintain consistency in portion sizes and recipe standards.
- Manage baking schedules to ensure timely preparation of products.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role in a bakery, café, or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and food safety.
- Creativity in designing and decorating pastries and cakes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Good teamwork and leadership skills.
