The opportunity:
In this position, you will be responsible for the development and smooth running of the Dubai campus as well as for coordinating, commissioning, and ensuring service quality in the university administration and service departments.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture excellent relationships with local regulators like KHDA for academic permits, DWTC for commercial permits and external suppliers of services, like payroll, among others
- Manage the KHDA portal as well as the visa application process for staff and students
- You are the first contact person for our students, lecturers, interested parties and employees. You are accountable for the best possible student and teaching experience on our campus in Dubai
- Responsible for the daily management and leadership of all service functions on campus
- Ensure the highest quality of service for our students as well as for the employees of the GUS Group on campus
- Build relationships with external partners (accommodation, company partners, etc.) and maintain the existing partnership agreements (ie DHL, Bosch etc)
- Establishment and further development of services and processes in the Service Center (Student Secretariat, Scheduling, Int. Office, Int. Career Center, Examination Office, etc.) as well as Facility, Occupational Health and Safety
- Coordinate and ensure the smooth running of campus events such as campus tours, certificate awards, freshman events, staff events, professional presentations, and the implementation of other events
- Development, coordination and implementation of security concepts
- Ensure the proper handling of new construction and renovations in close cooperation with external service providers
- Plan and optimize room utilization, capacity utilization and rental management
- Selection of contracts and negotiations with external service providers as well as monitoring of external providers relating to e.g. IT, systems, and licenses to ensure smooth running or operations
- Manage and improve cost budget
- Oversee and promote strategic and operational collaboration between the different locations abroad and possible other GUS institutions (U-Law, Arden, etc.)
- Completed professional training with several years of professional experience in higher education or from the hotel industry or large event management.
- Several years of practical experience in coordination, event and project management
- At least 3 years of leadership and team building experience
- Enjoy dealing with conceptual and analytical tasks

- Ability to question structures and processes and optimize them if necessary
- International background desirable
- High degree of reliability, commitment, loyalty and flexibility complete your profile
- High proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
- Eager and highly motivated to learn.
- Excellent command in spoken and written English. Arabic is a plus.
