Job Description
About the Role
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as a strategic leader within our Global Customer Organization (GCO), responsible for driving operational excellence and revenue growth across the region. This dual-focused role requires an exceptional leader who can both optimize internal operations and deliver substantial commercial results.
Reporting directly to the Regional President, the COO will be responsible for implementing standardized processes, services, methodologies, and tools that drive productivity and profitability. This executive will also carry direct revenue accountability, mirroring the President's commercial targets while serving as their trusted deputy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Generation
- Drive top-line and bottom-line growth with direct responsibility for revenue targets and variable pay metrics
- Develop and execute the strategic plan enabling business goal achievement
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of regional sales opportunities
- Convert pipeline to profitable revenue through expert deal management
- Serve as proxy for the Regional President, including managing, driving, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities
- Act as executive sponsor on targeted sales opportunities
- Leading a substantial organization, including 45 members of staff across Business Development Representatives, Business Operations, Marketing and Enablement functions
Operational Excellence
- Implement and optimize GTM strategy and execution using data-driven insights
- Drive synergies between business units and market units to ensure collaboration and efficiencies
- Identify and eliminate functional duplication while scaling for growth
- Adopt automation and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency
- Adapt organizational processes to evolving business models
- Syndicate best practices and standards across the organization
- Foster a culture of continuous innovation and improvement
Performance Management & Analytics
- Provide Business Units and Market Units with high-quality data for clear planning and decision making
- Oversee production of data and formatting for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), monthly reviews, and other key meetings
- Develop comprehensive KPIs and dashboards to holistically manage business performance
- Track both traditional sales metrics (Pipeline Health) and leading indicators (customer sentiment, strategic selling KPIs)
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Marketing to oversee cost-effective pipeline generation across all lines of business
- Drive measurement and execution of targeted industry and solutions business plans
- Ensure alignment between global and regional business plans
- Work with global teams to implement tools and resources for deal road mapping, business planning, and value demonstration
- Accelerate the enablement and integration of new solutions and methodologies
- Provide effective consultation on key areas impacting Market Units including M&A strategy, localization issues, and market development plans

Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years leadership experience in enterprise software sales
- 5+ years leading diverse operations functional organizations
- Proven P&L responsibility with demonstrable commercial success
- Track record of building, leading, and retaining diverse, multi-functional high-performing teams
- History of building strong customer relationships at executive level
- Experience in business strategy planning and knowledge management
