We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman with a strong background in landscape projects to supervise and coordinate on-site activities. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of landscaping and civil works, ensuring project deadlines, quality standards, and safety procedures are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of skilled and unskilled workers on landscaping and civil construction sites.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings related to landscaping, irrigation, paving, grading, and civil works.
- Coordinate and schedule daily work tasks and ensure proper resource allocation (materials, tools, and manpower).
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved plans and environmental/safety regulations.
- Communicate and report progress, issues, and updates to the Project Engineer or Site Manager.
- Oversee installation of softscape (plants, grass, shrubs) and hardscape (paving, curbing, pergolas, pathways).
- Supervise earthworks, drainage, irrigation, and utility installations as required.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure timely rectification of any defects.
- Monitor site safety compliance and enforce company safety standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Landscaping, Construction Management, or related field. Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Foreman, with at least 2 years in landscape projects.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape and civil drawings.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, grading, soil preparation, and plant types.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
