We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Civil QC Inspector to oversee the quality control and inspection of civil works across ongoing construction projects. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with project specifications, applicable international standards ( ASTM, ACI, BS/EN), and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on civil construction activities including concrete, rebar, formwork, backfilling, asphalt, and structural steel.
- Verify construction work against approved drawings, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and relevant standards (ASTM, ACI, BS/EN).
- Review and verify material certificates, test results, and other quality documentation.
- Conduct site inspections for excavation, foundation works, slabs, and various structural components.
- Prepare inspection reports, maintain RFI logs, and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where necessary.
- Liaise with site construction teams and third-party inspectors to address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor and report on non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to HSE protocols during quality inspections.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil quality control and inspection.
- Strong understanding of international civil engineering codes and standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, BS, ISO).
- Prior approval from regulatory authorities or clients is an advantage.
- Experience in oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
