Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain computer numerical control (CNC) machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing precision parts and instruments, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to blueprints, drawings, or CAD/CAM files.
- Load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Monitor the machining process and make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal operation.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Maintain records of production and quality issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machines or production processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve production methods.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
- Familiarity with G-code programming and CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing or machine shop setting.
- Exposure to noise, lubricants, and metal particles.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
