Job Title: Commis (Korean Cuisine)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our team at a Korean restaurant. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the art of Korean cuisine and develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. You will assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing authentic Korean ingredients and dishes, including kimchi, banchan, and traditional marinades.
- Support the kitchen team in cooking Korean specialties such as bibimbap, bulgogi, tteokbokki, jjigae (stews)
- Follow traditional recipes and techniques to maintain authenticity and consistency in flavors.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of Korean ingredients
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Work efficiently within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Assist in stock control, inventory management, and minimizing food waste.
- Learn and develop Korean culinary techniques under the guidance of experienced chefs.
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for Korean cuisine and a strong desire to learn.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, knife skills, and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A food safety certificate is an advantage.
- Tourist visa are welcome
