As a Commis II, you are responsible for daily food preparation and completing assigned tasks to maintain established standards and quality. Your key duties include:
- Assisting the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I with daily kitchen operations
- Preparing food according to the menu specifications provided by the Chef de Partie
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work area at all times, in compliance with hotel regulations
- Managing food stock and controlling costs within your designated section
- Preparing daily mise-en-place and food production across various sections of the main kitchen or satellite kitchens
- Following instructions and guidance from immediate supervisors to complete daily tasks efficiently
- Upholding the highest standards and consistent quality in food preparation while staying updated on new products, recipes, and techniques
- Collaborating with other kitchen sections to manage requirements, cleanliness, minimize waste, and control costs
