Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations through interviews, physical exams, symptom analysis, and medical testing.
- Perform various diagnostic tests, such as exercise tests, cardiac catheterizations, and imaging procedures, including echocardiograms.
- Analyze diagnostic test results and interpret findings to develop an accurate diagnosis.
- Establish treatment goals with patients and create personalized treatment plans.
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Refer patients to surgeons or other specialists when required and collaborate on patient care during surgical procedures.
- Advise on and assist with cardiac surgeries as necessary.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families on recovery strategies, lifestyle changes, and long-term cardiovascular health management.
- Conduct ongoing research to stay current on advancements in cardiology and apply new findings to improve patient care.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as biology, physical sciences, or pre-med.
- A Medical degree specialization in cardiology with valid state license.
- Participation in continuing medical education and membership in professional organizations is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for improving the health and well-being of patients.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Patience, empathy, and sensitivity to the concerns and needs of patients.
