Position: Manager – Cost Control

Reporting to: Head of Finance / CFO
Role Overview
The Manager – Cost Control will oversee and manage all cost control activities across multiple outlets, ensuring accurate food and beverage costing, minimizing variances, and supporting profitability through effective inventory and procurement analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cost control function for all F&B outlets, ensuring timely reporting and analysis.
- Develop, implement, and monitor cost control systems, including recipe costing, yield tests, and portion control.
- Analyze variances between actual and theoretical costs and provide actionable insights.
- Monitor daily purchases, stock movements, and kitchen production to ensure compliance with budgets.
- Conduct regular spot checks, audits, and inventory reconciliations.
- Work closely with culinary and procurement teams to review supplier pricing, optimize purchasing, and reduce wastage.
- Develop dashboards and reports for senior leadership, highlighting trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years in cost control, preferably in F&B or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory systems, and procurement.
- Proficient in Excel, POS systems, and ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or Odoo).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Cost Management or similar is a plus.
- Experience in multi-outlet or centralized kitchen environments.
- Familiarity with UAE or GCC F&B compliance and reporting standards.
