Job Purpose:
To provide specialized care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of skin, hair, and nail disorders using the latest medical and cosmetic dermatologic practices. The Consultant Dermatologist will work in alignment with SEHA's patient care standards, safety guidelines, and clinical governance framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, infections, and skin cancers.
Perform dermatologic procedures such as skin biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, chemical peels, and laser treatments.
Provide cosmetic dermatology services, as per SEHA guidelines, including Botox, fillers, PRP, and laser aesthetics (if applicable).
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's condition and clinical needs.
Collaborate with other specialists and primary care physicians for multidisciplinary patient management.
Document all patient encounters accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records using SEHA’s electronic health system.
Participate in clinical audits, research, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities.
Mentor junior doctors, residents, and clinical staff, contributing to their education and skill development.
Ensure compliance with all DOH and SEHA regulations regarding infection control, medical ethics, and patient confidentiality.
Attend department meetings and contribute to clinical case discussions and decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency training in Dermatology from a recognized program.
Board Certification in Dermatology (e.g., American Board, CCT UK, Arab Board, MRCP with Dermatology specialization, or equivalent).
Valid DOH Consultant License in Dermatology or eligibility to obtain it.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience as a Consultant Dermatologist.
Experience in managing both medical and procedural dermatology cases.
