Position Overview:
The Document Controller will be responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining all documentation for ongoing and completed projects. This role ensures accuracy, consistency, and timely flow of documents across departments in compliance with company standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a document control system for the efficient handling of project documents.
- Receive, register, track, and distribute incoming and outgoing documents such as drawings, RFIs, submittals, and reports.
- Ensure document accuracy and proper version control to avoid discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, and subcontractors for documentation needs.
- Archive all documents systematically for easy retrieval during audits or future reference.
- Support tendering and estimation teams by managing submission documents when needed.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to company document control procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Document Controller in the construction or engineering industry.
- UAE experience preferred, particularly within a contracting or project-based environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, Procore) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
