About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and documentation for construction projects. This is a key position within our commercial team, requiring both technical expertise and a strong understanding of construction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed architectural, structural, and MEP drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Create and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.
- Collaborate with estimation and commercial teams for quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and tender submissions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Assist in compiling tender packages, technical submissions, and documentation.
- Support in the preparation of variation orders, claims, and final accounts.
- Coordinate with site teams to incorporate design changes, and update drawings accordingly.
- Maintain proper drawing logs, revision history, and submission records.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in drafting for the construction industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, and industry standards.
- Experience supporting estimation and commercial teams is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Candidate:
- Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines efficiently.
