Key Responsibilities:
- Designs, plans, organises, coordinates and supervises all facilities project activities .
- Assists management with the facilities Annual Maintenance Plan and the Life Cycle Plan.
- Ensures the process is maintained within the latest ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards.
- Learns, understands and complies with applicable health, safety and environment directives.
- Participates in the development of a safe and healthy working environment.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure all facility related repairs, upgrades and modification are in accordance with the project contract.
- Coordinate the requirements of the owner to identify the scope of the project.
- Coordinate with employees for technical engineering, engineering design and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD).
- Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) and coordinate with the Procurement Department for estimated costs, proposals and vendor evaluations.
- Monitor the performance of the work throughout the project to ensure compliance at all times and successful completion of the task
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports relating to facilities projects as required.
- Provide technical advice to other departments in matters related to facilities engineering and to maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Conduct training for assigned employees as required
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
- Support other members of the Facilities Department in fulfilling their roles.
- Perform other duties as required by the Manager, Facilities.
Experience and Education :
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering required; Master degree preferred
- A minimum of five to six years of experience in facilities maintenance, with knowledge of engineering principles, theories and practices is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory position is preferred.
Skills:
- Previous military experience is an advantage.
- Experience in project management is an advantage.
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and Computer Aided Design (CAD) or AutoCAD is preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
- Must have a valid UAE driver’s license.
