Qualifications
· 5-7 years’ experience as Engineering Supervisor or similar position in 5-star resort environment.
· Has the ability to technically communicate effectively.
· Flexible, positive and capable of leading a diverse team.
· Proficient in all engineering systems and practices.
· Must have an Engineering Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Attend meetings as required and lead department.
2. Plan, schedule, estimate, control and implementation of all repair activities, maintenance, renovation and civil works that are within the responsibility of the engineering department.
3. Apply Engineering principles and best practices to obtain optimum efficiencies.
4. Performance management of engineering team to ensure growth.
5. Review and analyze daily operations and expenditure.
6. Conduct daily inspections of all machines and plant rooms, and audit of all PM activities.
7. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
8. Effective management of departmental P&L account .
9. Manage project activities as required.
10. Support the department operation when called upon to do so.
11. Assist, facilitate and supervise Engineering contractors; ensures safe working and permit to work system is in place and to standard.
12. Ensure that all emergency systems are in order, functional and fit for purpose.
13. Responsible for developing shutdown and switching schedules for energy conservation purposes, with ongoing monitoring.
14. Managing and ensuring fast, accurate and reliable processing of the service request system.
15. Prepare and implement Planned Preventive Maintenance schedules of all hotel guestrooms and public areas.
16. Responsible for departmental training regime to attain multi skilled workforce.
17. Attend scheduled trainings as required.
18. Responsible for the correct filing and condition of hotel O&M and technical documentation including electronic drawings.
19. Coordinate with other departments to plan and conduct preventive or upgrade maintenance work and ensure out of order schedules are followed.
20. Ensure timely reporting of malfunction or maintenance deficiencies to DOE.
21. Participate actively in company-initiated/employee activities.
22. Adhere to the specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the hotel.
23. Adhere to the set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.
24. Adhere to the provisions outlined in the Employee’s Handbook, Disciplinary Code and Rules and Regulations.
25. Responsible for obtaining targets set by DOE for all utilities and waste management.
26. Set individual objectives & KPI’s for staff that support the general environmental objectives and targets.
27. Liaise with the engineering coordinator to ensure that all documents and records are accurate, updated and current.
28. Responsible for ensuring all Dubai Municipality online portal information is uploaded on time and is in order.
29. Complete and issue on time monthly engineering reports.
30.Ensure that preventive maintenance and other repairs are being done to standard/specifications.
31. Serve as a member of Emergency Response Team, ERT.
32. To have a deep technical understanding of, and be able to operate all hotel emergency equipment such as generator, fire pumps and fire detection systems.
33. To Champion all Green initiatives including recycling and energy efficiency projects.
34. Supervise all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.
35. Recommend and/or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of fixtures and furnishings.
36. Implement and administer the energy management program and the energy reduction objectives, the maintenance of records, and regular reporting of performance against these objectives.
37. Ensure that any tests and inspections required on plant by 3rd party authorities are carried out as and when required and that all records and documentation associated with such tests and surveys are correctly kept and/or displayed. Ensure that the hotel fulfils all compliance requirements.
38. Maintain the condition of the physical assets of the hotel by carrying out any maintenance & repairs activities.
39. Ensure the effective operation of all the mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by implementing and managing a preventative maintenance program. Closely monitor the condition of the physical property and equipment by conducting continual inspections of the building. Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are in operation and regularly upgraded.
40. Ensure the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
41. To encourage team building and drive departmental team spirit.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED8,500.00 per month
