A reputable fitout company is looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares and estimates budget costs for joinery/construction by studying plans and specifications.
- Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
- Prepare comprehensive and well-organized cost estimates, including breakdowns of labor and material costs, for review by project managers and clients.
- Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors.
- Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
- Work closely with project managers,and designers.
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to navigate specifications and plans
- Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and building codes/regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with joinery-specific estimation software or CAD is required.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a joinery estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
- Professional certification in estimating is a plus.
