We're seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to drive strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage all financial accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee the annual audit process and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2-3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with various accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
