Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, gut, scale, and cut fish and seafood (fillets, steaks, slices) as per customer requests.
- Arrange seafood displays attractively and ensure proper labeling of items.
- Monitor freshness, quality, and stock levels of seafood throughout the day.
- Handle seafood safely and store products at correct temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and cutting tools.
- Follow hygiene and food safety regulations at all times.
- Assist customers politely and offer recommendations when needed.
- Dispose of waste properly and follow company environmental guidelines.
- Support in unloading and storing fresh seafood deliveries.
- Report damaged or spoiled items to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in seafood handling or as a fishmonger.
- Skilled in cutting, filleting, and cleaning various types of fish and seafood.
- Good knowledge of seafood freshness indicators and safe handling practices.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in cold and wet conditions.
