We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, building, repairing, and installing a wide range of wooden furniture items such as chairs, tables, cabinets, and custom pieces. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, tools, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret design blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood and other materials to construct furniture pieces
- Build custom furniture including tables, chairs, cabinets, beds, shelves, and wardrobes
- Repair or refurbish damaged furniture
- Operate woodworking machines, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently
- Select the right type of wood and materials for each project
- Apply stains, varnishes, polishes, or paints to finished products
- Collaborate with designers, clients, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
