We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Carpenter to design, build, repair, and install wooden furniture and fixtures according to specifications. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading blueprints, using woodworking tools and machinery, and ensuring precision and quality in every piece of furniture crafted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, repair, and assemble furniture such as tables, chairs, wardrobes, cabinets, and other wood fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or design specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and join wood and other materials with accuracy.
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as saws, planers, routers, drills, and sanders.
- Perform surface preparation, including sanding and finishing work (e.g., staining, varnishing, painting, or laminating).
