Garment designer needed for Mira Apparel
Key Responsibilities:
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and styles to inform seasonal collections.
- Create original garment designs, technical sketches, and detailed specifications.
- Select appropriate materials and trims that align with the design concept and budget.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and sample makers to develop prototypes.
- Review and approve sample garments and provide detailed feedback for revisions.
- Ensure designs meet brand identity, market demands, and pricing strategies.
- Participate in fittings and quality assessments of garments during the production process.
- Work with merchandisers and marketing teams to align designs with customer preferences and commercial goals.
- Maintain design documentation and update design boards or CAD systems as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
- Proven experience as a garment/fashion designer or similar role (typically 2–5 years).
- Strong sketching, CAD (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D), and design software skills.
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and sewing techniques.
- Creative flair with a strong eye for color, detail, and fashion trends.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
