Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with precision measuring instruments. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of components, ensuring that all parts meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine assembly requirements.
- Utilize CAD software to assist in design modifications and improvements.
- Operate CNC machinery and hand tools for fabrication tasks.
- Perform measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Apply GD&T principles to maintain quality control throughout the fitting process.
- Conduct inspections using coordinate measuring machines to verify component dimensions.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLC) is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic math concepts for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience with fabrication and machining processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to effectively use hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
