The Role?
To assist with estimating and proposal preparation activities and lead small to mid-size tenders.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- To act as lead responsible person for preparation, approvals, submission and close-out of individual RFPs and pre-qualification exercises on small to mid-size tenders.
- To assist tender leads with preparation of estimates and proposals for large, complex tenders.
- Arrange and facilitate tender kick off calls, assign actions for completion, follow up, compile proposal, and estimate sheets.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and maintain clear visibility of the progress on each tender.
- Deal with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Tax, BD and other divisions for tender input in a timely manner.
- Build-up of accurate costs.
- Ensure transparency and traceability of cost build-ups.
- Ensure direct and indirect costs, taxes and overhead costs are build up accurately.
- Liaise with third parties and procurement for third-party quotes.
- Follow the tender approval matrix and ensure correct approvals are in place on a timely manner.
- Demonstrate with evidence of the cost efficiencies achieved through creative cost modelling concepts.
- Monthly reporting of submitted, win/loss rates, and cancellations.
- Draft pre- and post-tender clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with tender format.
- Bring in innovative solutions on complex pricing schedules.
- Management of tender folders.
- Document controlling.
- Tender acknowledgements/decline forms.
- Maintain the highest quality of tender formats, both internal and external.
- Accurate calculation work.
- Prepare weekly and monthly tender reports.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Service Line and Functional Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor of Engineering or QS Degree.
- Understanding of the onshore/offshore oil and gas market.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred:
- Tendering / commercial knowledge.
- Knowledge of pipeline / process pe-commissioning
