Job Purpose:
To safely operate heavy vehicles such as trailers, dump trucks, water tankers, and flatbeds for transporting construction materials, equipment, and waste across construction sites or between project locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery in compliance with traffic and site safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy vehicles such as dump trucks, flatbeds, trailers, and tankers for material and equipment movement.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
- Follow all traffic rules, site speed limits, and safety protocols at all times.
- Deliver and collect materials (e.g., sand, aggregates, scaffolding, equipment) as instructed.
- Ensure secure loading, unloading, and proper weight distribution of materials.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and ensure proper documentation (trip sheets, delivery notes, fuel logs).
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delays immediately to the supervisor.
- Assist in site logistics when not driving (e.g., guiding unloading, supporting storekeeper).
- Follow route plans and delivery schedules as assigned.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for vehicle use and maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- Valid UAE driving license – Heavy Vehicle (Category 4 or equivalent).
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience driving heavy vehicles in construction or industrial environments.
- Familiar with construction site delivery and movement protocols.
- Good knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report common vehicle issues.
- Physical ability to load/unload materials if required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in operating different types of heavy vehicles (dump truck, trailer, water tanker, etc.)
- Ability to use GPS or route navigation systems.
- Safety-conscious with a good track record.
