The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Replace linens and towels, replenish guest amenities, and restock supplies such as toiletries, coffee, and tea.
- Inspect guest rooms for damage or maintenance issues and report any discrepancies or concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Maintenance Department.
- Ensure that all guest room equipment and appliances are in proper working order, and report any malfunctions or deficiencies for prompt resolution.
- Follow safety and security protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas, linen closets, and housekeeping carts, and properly dispose of trash and recyclables.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities, housekeeping services, or assistance with room-related issues.
- Collaborate with other members of the housekeeping team to prioritize tasks, coordinate work assignments, and ensure timely completion of daily cleaning responsibilities.
- Adhere to departmental productivity and quality standards, striving to exceed guest expectations and enhance overall satisfaction.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on housekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift and carry heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
