Job Purpose:
To ensure effective implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures in line with ADNOC regulations and company standards on oil and gas project sites. The HSE Officer will play a key role in risk prevention, legal compliance, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict compliance with ADNOC-approved HSE procedures and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Conduct daily site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for new and existing personnel.
- Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including reports, audits, inspection checklists, and permit-to-work logs.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of HSE plans and emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate with ADNOC representatives, auditors, and third-party HSE inspectors as required.
- Participate in safety meetings, emergency drills, and project risk reviews.
- Promote and support a strong safety culture among all employees and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Certifications:
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent internationally recognized HSE qualification
- ADNOC HSE Officer Approval (mandatory and current)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas sector in the UAE, preferably on ADNOC projects
- Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of ADNOC HSE procedures, UAE labor and environmental laws
- Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to write detailed incident and audit reports
- Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems
Preferred:
- First Aid, Firefighting, Working at Height, and Confined Space entry certifications
- Previous experience with ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC Onshore, or ADNOC Gas projects
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
