Educational Qualification
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
✅ Certifications ( Preferred)
These certifications are often required or expected by contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies:
1. NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety)
Widely recognized in the UAE and GCC
2. IOSH Managing Safely
Often a minimum requirement for entry-level roles.
3. OSHA 30 Hours Certification
Especially relevant for construction.
4. First Aid & Fire Safety Training
Must be certified through recognized bodies.
✅ Regulatory Requirements (UAE Specific)
Registration with OSHAD (Occupational Safety and Health Abu Dhabi)
Dubai Municipality approval — for the projects within Dubai.
Must comply with the UAE Labour Law, Civil Defense, and municipal safety regulations.
✅ Experience
2–5 years of experience in a similar construction or building site environment.
Proven experience with risk assessments, HSE documentation, incident investigation, and toolbox related.
Must aware the importance for safety rules at site and also require proper communication with consultants, clients and site team management.
✅Core Skills and Responsibilities
Conduct daily site inspections and monitor compliance with safety standards.
Develop and implement HSE plans and procedures.
Maintain incident/accident records and report to regulatory bodies when necessary.
Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
Deliver HSE training and inductions for site workers.
Ensure PPE compliance and manage safety signage on site
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to train and motivate workers from different nationalities and backgrounds.
Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
✅ Language
English is mandatory.
Arabic is a plus but not required.
Knowledge of languages like Hindi or Urdu can help with workforce communication.
