Job Title: HSE Officer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in health, safety, and environmental management within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture across all operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of identifying potential hazards and ensuring corrective measures are in place to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Implementation & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local, national, and international regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Risk Assessments & Hazard Identification
Conduct thorough risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHA), and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.
- Incident Reporting & Investigation
Lead incident and accident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence. Organize and deliver HSE training sessions, safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to employees and subcontractors. Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures, documenting findings and following up on corrective actions. Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure proper use and availability of safety and emergency equipment. Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation. Maintain accurate records of safety activities, training, inspections, incidents, and audits, and prepare periodic HSE reports for management review.

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role within construction, engineering, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent (required or strongly preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergencies, work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in HSE software and Microsoft Office tools
