AtkinsRéalis is seeking a talented and experienced Interior Design Architect to join our UAE team. The ideal candidate will have a strong design background and proven experience in site operations, including coordination with contractors, quality control, and implementation of interior design concepts on-site. This role is integral to delivering high-quality, functional, and aesthetically compelling interior environments across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of interior design concepts from schematic design through to construction documentation and site implementation.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the construction phase.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and resolve on-site design issues.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups.
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of interior elements.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, health and safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and site teams.
- Participate in design presentations and client meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in interior design, with at least 5 years in site-based roles in the UAE or GCC region.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in high-end commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.
- Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, and detailing.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have consultancy Exp.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with international design consultancies or PMC environments.
- LEED, WELL, or other sustainability certifications are a plus.
