Job Purpose:
The Kitchen Coordinator ensures the smooth and timely flow of kitchen operations by coordinating daily orders, communicating requirements between sites and kitchen sections (Hot, Cold, Bakery, etc.), and supporting the team in maintaining quality, accuracy, and service timelines. The role also involves supporting events and overseeing kitchen operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Coordination
- Collect daily orders from site PICs and consolidate them into a master order sheet.
- Share daily consolidated orders with respective kitchen sections by the required deadline.
- Follow up with site PICs to ensure timely submission of orders.
Communication & Follow-Up
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with site representatives and kitchen staff.
- Promptly report missing, unclear, or delayed orders to relevant Project Managers.
- Escalate repeated delays or violations in order submission to management as needed.
Documentation & Accuracy
- Ensure accuracy in order details (item, quantity, section) before submission to the kitchen.
- Track and log delays or discrepancies for reporting purposes.
- Maintain updated records of daily submissions and communications.
Admin & Event Support
- Assist in coordinating food service support for special events or school functions.
- Oversee kitchen operations as needed to ensure smooth execution of daily production.
- Act as a point of contact between kitchen staff and operations team during critical times.
Support & Coordination
- Assist the Operations Team with general administrative duties such as documentation, reports, and internal coordination.
- Provide support during special events, school functions, or large-scale distributions (e.g., menu printing, logistics coordination, summary sheets).
- Help ensure operational readiness for events from a coordination standpoint, involving food handling or preparation.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
- Assertive and clear communicator
- Ability to handle pressure and meet daily deadlines
- Previous experience in catering, food service, or logistics is an advantage
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
Working Hours:
Sunday to Friday, as per operational needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
