Marhaba Auctions , a leading player in the automotive auction industry in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking a results-driven Korean Translator with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translates Korean into English and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and fluency. It includes in various fields like business, legal, medical, or technical documents, and may also be involved in interpreting Korean at meetings and conferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Translation: Precisely convert written or spoken Korean into English (and vice versa), considering cultural context, style, and terminology.
Interpretation: Provide real-time verbal translation at meetings, conferences, and other events.
Proofreading & Editing: Review and edit translated documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Terminology Management: Maintain and develop glossaries and terminology databases for specific fields.
Project Management: Manage translation projects, including timelines, deadlines, and client communication.
Quality Control: Ensure that translated materials meet the required quality standards.
Research: Investigate and research terminology, cultural nuances, and technical aspects to ensure accurate translation.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field is often preferred.
- 3 + years of experience as a Korean Translator or in a same field.
- Native-level fluency in both Korean and English is essential.
- Excellent writing skills in Korean and English
- Strong understanding of translation principles, techniques, and processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to research and find relevant information for translation.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to different translation styles and formats.
