Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the geotechnical testing laboratory.
- Supervise and coordinate lab technicians and field staff.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and safety standards.
- Review and validate test results (soil, rock, aggregate, concrete, etc.).
- Maintain equipment calibration and verification records.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to meet testing requirements.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures as per ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports.
- Monitor resource planning, budgeting, and procurement needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a geotechnical lab setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, BS, and ISO testing standards.
- Familiarity with EIAC accreditation and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Proficiency in laboratory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
